Servicing & Repairs

Tips on Taking Care of your Purchases

It is important to look after your mobility equipment to ensure that it remains safe to use. The Research Institute for Disabled Consumers highlights the importance of keeping mobility equipment well-maintained, and suggests various checks that can be done at home to ensure the safety of the equipment.

Here are some examples of things you can regularly check to ensure the safety of your mobility equipment:

  • All plugs and wires are connected properly.
  • No bare wires are exposed
  • Tyres are inflated to the correct pressure (if necessary).
  • All locking pins and assembly mechanisms are locked
  • The seat is adjusted and locked in place.
  • The battery is fully charged.
  • The brakes are in working order.
