Tips on Taking Care of your Purchases

It is important to look after your mobility equipment to ensure that it remains safe to use. The Research Institute for Disabled Consumers highlights the importance of keeping mobility equipment well-maintained, and suggests various checks that can be done at home to ensure the safety of the equipment.

Here are some examples of things you can regularly check to ensure the safety of your mobility equipment:

All plugs and wires are connected properly.
No bare wires are exposed
Tyres are inflated to the correct pressure (if necessary).
All locking pins and assembly mechanisms are locked
The seat is adjusted and locked in place.
The battery is fully charged.
The brakes are in working order.

Our Service to You

It is also recommended that all mobility equipment is checked professionally on an annual basis. We provide servicing and repairs for a variety of mobility aids, including scooterspowerchairswheelchairsrollators & tri-walkers. John, our friendly engineer, will carry out this service for you in our resourceful workshop!

The price you pay will vary depending on the mobility equipment being serviced and/or the extent of any repair that is needed.  However, we will always give an estimate of the cost before going ahead with any repair. A free battery test is carried out with every scooter and powerchair service. Additionally, our servicing price is discounted for those who have bought their mobility equipment from us!

Collection and delivery for the larger items can usually be arranged, however a charge may be applied if the item has originally been purchased elsewhere, or if we travel outside of our local delivery area, which can be found here.

We can also help with repairs to profiling beds and riser recliners. Our engineer will come out to you to inspect and most repairs can be done onsite as long as the necessary parts are available to be ordered.
